Terms of Use

1. The Service

ReciGo helps you save and organize recipes, plan meals, and build grocery lists. Features may change over time. Some features require an internet connection or an optional paid subscription.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum digital consent age in your country) to use ReciGo. If you use ReciGo on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

3. Accounts

You may use ReciGo without an account. If you sign in with Apple, you are responsible for keeping your Apple ID secure and for activity under your account. Provide accurate information and notify us of unauthorized use.

4. Your content

You retain ownership of recipes, photos, notes, and other content you submit (“User Content”). You grant Hywave a limited license to host, process, back up, and display User Content solely to operate and improve the Service (for example OCR, sync, and display in your library).

You represent that you have the rights needed to submit User Content and that it does not violate law or third-party rights. Do not upload unlawful, harmful, or infringing content.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Misuse the Service, attempt unauthorized access, or interfere with its operation.
• Reverse engineer, scrape, or copy the Service except as allowed by law.
• Use ReciGo to infringe intellectual property or privacy rights of others.
• Use automated means to abuse imports, subscriptions, or other features.

6. Subscriptions and payments (App Store)

ReciGo may offer auto-renewable subscriptions that unlock premium features (for example additional imports). Subscription titles, lengths, and prices are shown in the App Store at the time of purchase.

If you purchase a subscription through Apple:

• Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
• Subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the rate shown in the App Store.
• You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID Account Settings after purchase. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
• Any unused portion of a free trial period, if offered, is forfeited when you purchase a subscription where applicable.

7. Refunds

Purchases made through the App Store are subject to Apple’s refund policies. For billing issues, contact Apple Support or use the report-a-problem flow in your Apple ID purchase history. We cannot directly refund App Store charges.

8. Intellectual property

ReciGo, including its name, logo, design, and software, is owned by Hywave or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks or brand assets except as needed to use the Service.

9. Third-party services

The Service may rely on third parties such as Apple, Supabase, RevenueCat, and OCR providers. Their services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services we do not control.

10. Disclaimer

ReciGo is provided “as is” and “as available.” Recipe import (including OCR) may be imperfect. Cooking guidance in imported content is for convenience only; you are responsible for food safety and verifying ingredients and instructions. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Hywave and its affiliates will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of ReciGo. Our aggregate liability for claims relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amounts you paid us for ReciGo subscriptions in the 12 months before the claim or (b) USD 50, except where liability cannot be limited by law.

12. Termination

You may stop using ReciGo at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the Service. Provisions that by nature should survive (including ownership, disclaimers, and limitations) will survive termination.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated Terms on this page and update the “Last updated” date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in the place of establishment of Hywave, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where mandatory consumer protection laws in your country of residence apply.

15. Apple-required notice

You acknowledge that these Terms are between you and Hywave only, not with Apple Inc. Hywave—not Apple—is solely responsible for ReciGo and its content. Apple has no obligation to furnish maintenance or support for ReciGo. To the extent any warranty applies and ReciGo fails to conform, you may notify Apple and Apple may refund the purchase price for the app (if any); to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation. Apple is not responsible for addressing claims relating to ReciGo or your possession/use of it, including product liability, legal or regulatory compliance, or consumer protection claims. Apple is not responsible for investigating, defending, settling, or discharging third-party intellectual property infringement claims. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
